This pre-completed COSHH assessment covers general-purpose cleaning products based on surfactant and solvent blends — including multi-surface cleaners such as Flash Multi-Surface. These products are found in virtually every workplace where routine surface cleaning and hygiene maintenance takes place.
What Does This COSHH Assessment Cover?
The assessment is fully completed and ready to use, covering all sections required for a complete hazardous substance risk assessment:
- Substance identification — trade name (Flash Multi-Surface), chemical composition (non-ionic and anionic surfactants in aqueous solution), SDS reference and physical state
- Health effects and first aid — inhalation of mist or spray, ingestion, skin contact (repeated contact causing dryness and irritation) and eye contact, with specific first aid for each route
- Workplace exposure limits — no specific WEL established for the formulation; guidance to minimise exposure to spray and mist in line with EH40
- CLP hazard classification — Irritant
- PPE requirements — nitrile or rubber gloves for prolonged contact, hand washing
- Emergency procedures — spillage response (dilute and mop up) and disposal guidance
